Key cases of adoption over the past week:
📈 Nasdaq to launch crypto custodial service.
Why this Matters: Several sources have reported that Nasdaq has a new crypto-focused division, and they’re planning to launch a crypto custody service called “Nasdaq Digital Assets.” In their own words, this move would drastically push forward “institutional participation in digital assets.” Big win.
📶 Helium and T-Mobile partner for world’s first “cryptocarrier.”
Why this Matters: In this partnership, T-Mobile users will have access to T-Mobile's existing 5G network and the new Helium-Mobile 4G network. This deal will bring decentralized wireless (DeWi) infrastructure and a crypto rewards program to hundreds of thousands of users, hopefully inspiring users to take the dive into crypto.
🌐 Andrew Yang files new crypto-rewards company with the SEC.
Why this Matters: A recent SEC filing shows Andrew Yang as executive director of Samarity — a project that awards cryptocurrency to volunteers in exchange for participation in charitable service. Yang has already demonstrated his investment in web3 through co-founding Lobby3, a lobbying and advocacy DAO which Twali Wrapped Guild has already profiled.
